By the time we got to Ogden, the rain was coming down even harder.  I finally leaned up and suggested that the next exit would be a good place to stop.  We pulled in to a Maverik gas station and no sooner did we get under the roof then the rain dumped down, lightning crackled, and thunder boomed.  Across the street was a McDonalds so we hurried over and camped out there with hot chocolate (not very good) and french fries and waited out the downpour.  (Their hand dryers work well to dry hair and clothes!) 45 minutes later, the rain let up and we hit the road again.

The trip was good.  David, Mike's brother had the rough draft of our house plans finished and we brought them home with us.  We spent time with his family, especially his dad.
